Sudan’s al-Burhan meets Trump’s Africa adviser in Switzerland: Sources
Sources confirm Sudanese Sovereignty Council chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan met Trump’s Africa adviser in Switzerland to discuss ending the war and curbing UAE support for RSF.

Sources confirmed to Al Mayadeen the accuracy of reports about a meeting between Sudanese Sovereignty Council President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and US President Donald Trump’s Africa adviser, Massad Boulos.
According to the sources, the meeting took place late Monday night in Switzerland and was arranged at a high level by Qatar. It was held directly between al-Burhan and an American delegation headed by Boulos, with several aides present.
Three-hour meeting focused on ending Sudan war
The talks, which lasted three hours, centered on the ongoing conflict in Sudan. The US delegation reportedly stressed “the need for direct negotiations between Sudan and the UAE to reduce tensions between the two countries, to pressure Abu Dhabi, and to prevent it from continuing to support the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).”
The sources added that the American side also emphasized “the need to stop the war as soon as possible and to focus on the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.”

US request and post-war political vision
According to the sources, the meeting was held at Washington’s request. During the discussions, al-Burhan told Trump’s adviser that he rejects any RSF role in governance after the war.
No statements have yet been issued by the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, the Cabinet, or the Sudanese Armed Forces regarding the meeting.
