An official source close to the White House revealed to ‘Israel Hayom’ the statements of Israeli former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he criticized the Biden administration's policy toward Iran, ‘insulting’ the administration and the Democratic Party.

This was in criticism of an article published on the website written by Netanyahu on Wednesday, as well as his latest statement before Knesset.

Netanyahu went against the ‘no surprises policy’ that Foreign Minister Yair Lapid announced, calling on the government to publicly and explicitly object to the Biden administration's intent to return to the JCPOA.

Responding to ‘Israel Hayom,’ the US official alleged, "Netanyahu's words are harmful to US-Israeli relations, and portrays a false image as if the Biden administration and the Democratic Party abandon Israel and are not committed to its security."

According to the same official, "President Biden leads within the Democratic Party a clear line of commitment to Israel and its security," underscoring that his approach enhances bipartisan support that ‘Israel’ needs. However, Netanyahu's words give the impression that the current administration does not care for ‘Israel.’ Thus, these words and this impression decrease the Democratic Party's commitment to ‘Israel.'

In February, US President Joe Biden and then-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conducted a phone call, during which they agreed to strengthen the strong alliance between them.

This position comes while the security establishment accuses Netanyahu of "not doing anything regarding Israel's readiness to respond in case the nuclear talks with Iran flopped" when he was Prime Minister.
