Lebanese President Michel Aoun urged informing the Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the United Nations of "the need to inform the UN General Assembly of the Israeli force's continuous violation of the Lebanese sovereignty."
The demand comes along the continuous violation of the Lebanese airspace that "is being used to target Syria," the most recent of which took place this morning at dawn and caused damage in two Lebanese towns.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanon from land, sea, and air constitute a violation of Security Council Resolution 1701.
Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that the Syrian air defenses intercepted a hostile missiles attack in the vicinity of the al-Dabaa military airport in the southwestern countryside of Homs. At the same time, Israeli military jets were flying over the Bekaa in eastern Lebanon.
A Syrian military source stated that the Israeli air attack was carried out from the northeast of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and targeted positions in the al-Qusair area in the countryside of Homs.
Furthermore, the Resistance Military Media reported in March that two Israeli drones violated Lebanon's sovereignty by breaching the airspace over Blida and Meiss al-Jabal on the border with the occupied territories.
One of the two drones was intercepted over Blida and was forced to retreat to the occupied territories using proper weapons, the Resistance Media added. Furthermore, according to Al Mayadeen correspondent, the Lebanese army shot down a drone roaming over its base in Meiss al-Jabal.
Last February, the Resistance shot down an Israeli drone that had entered the Lebanese airspace over Blida, south Lebanon, and the Israeli army later announced that one if its drones came under anti-aircraft fire over Lebanon.
