On the 16th anniversary of the foundation of Telesur, Al Mayadeen CEO Ghassan Ben Jeddou sends his regards to the network, its workers, and its President Patricia Villegas.
Al Mayadeen CEO Ghassan Ben Jeddou sent a letter to teleSUR Network on the 16th anniversary of the foundation.
Ben Jeddou said in his letter to teleSUR President Patricia Villegas, "TeleSUR is a network like no other... Its successful and courageous President is extraordinary... in a great and outstandingly resilient country of a great people: Venezuela... You operate in a remarkably difficult stage full of hardship... You are creative and distinguished as a leading media institution in Latin America despite the distortion, embargo, sanctions, and discrimination."
"Today in TeleSUR, as journalists, administrators, and correspondents commemorate the 16th anniversary of the launch of your wonderful channel, you should know that you have millions of supporters around the world who love and respect you, and celebrate your glorious birthday with you," he added.
"We in Al Mayadeen are part of this broad global audience that admires you and wishes you further success," Ben Jeddou said.
His letter also read, "You are the entrustment of the great and dear revolutionary leader Hugo Chávez. He loved TeleSUR and was proud of it, presenting it as a token of success of his revolutionary and practical efforts. TeleSUR is also a source of pride for the courageous President, Nicolas Maduro."
Ben Jeddou concluded, "That is why TeleSUR is this huge source of positive energy amid a fatally negative atmosphere of frustration, failures, and setbacks. TeleSUR is an appellation of success, breakthroughs, and achievements. You are the definition of goodness in a time of opportunism, humility in a time of narcissism, and giving in a time of laziness and reliance... I give you my sincerest regards and congratulations. May you reach your goals through your hard work and creativity."
