Bitcoin gains 10% in the past 24 hours
Bitcoin has surged to its highest price since mid-June, reaching almost $40,000. The father of all cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin gains over 10% in the past 24 hours and almost 20% in the past week after a deadly dip in May.
Ether, another crypto-giant, has gained even more value as it added another 22% of its value in the can over the past 7 days - it hit a 3-week peak, $2,344.
Last week, Elon Musk hinted that he might start accpeting Bitcoin (again!) for Tesla payments once it reviews the coin's records on energy use. However, Tesla isn't the only corporation looking to use Bitcoin as payment; as Amazon talks stir that the mega-corporation might start accepting Bitcoin in payment, Bitcoin and Ether gain momentum.
