Official Iranian news sources stated that Ghalibaf is to visit Syria today to meet with senior officials in a 4-day visit to discuss the latest international developments, as well as bilateral relations between the two countries, especially economic and trade relations.

Syrian Presidential Advisor Bouthayna Shaaban, had lauded days ago Iran's support for its country during the difficult times Syria faced, emphasizing that Syria thanks Iran for its aid in fighting terrorist groups in Syria.

Shaaban's statements came following her meeting with the Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's Committee on Foreign Relations, Abbas Golroo. She also stated that Syria has not forgotten the sacrifices of ex-Quds force commander, General Soleimani, and that history will remember Iran's support for Syria.
