Raisi to Present Cabinet and Take Oath on August 5th

President-elect Ebrahim Raisi will present his cabinet and be sworn in on Thursday, August 5th, according to a member of parliament's presiding board.

Iranian MP and member of Parliament's Presiding Board, Mohsen Dehnavi, said, "President-elect Ebrahim Raisi will present his cabinet to the Majlis on August 5th," adding that more than 50 countries stated they would attend the swearing-in ceremony." 

The ceremony will observe the policies of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus.

"Parliamentary committees will begin holding sessions to give their vote of confidence to the proposed government" on Saturday the 7th, Dehnavi declared.

Raisi won the 2021 elections with 17,950,000 million of the 28,933,000 votes, calling on his competitors to cooperate with him to solve the problems of the Iranian people.

The future president also visited prominent religious scholars in Qom on July 10th, where he stressed that "strengthening and building comprehensive relations with neighboring countries is one of the priorities of the government that we will form," considering that "such relations serve both Iran and its neighboring countries as well."
