Days ago, the Israeli Supreme Court had suspended the decision to expel 3 families from the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood that is facing threats of expulsion and forcible displacement.
Last night, the occupation forces attacked activists standing in solidarity with the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood.
The Israeli forces practiced their suppressive acts on the eve of the court case meant to study an appeal lodged by 4 families against their expulsion decision from the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood.

Saturday night, multiple Palestinians were wounded during a confrontation with the Israeli occupation forces who suppressed a sit-down in the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood in al-Quds in support of the residents. This took place two days before an Israeli Supreme Court session to study an appeal made by numerous residents against their forcible eviction and confiscation of their homes.

Large numbers of occupation soldiers erected iron barriers to block the main entrance to the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood and prevented activists from reaching the center of the Neighborhood where families live. They caused injuries among the activists after assaulting and beating them.
Israeli forces also sprayed the activists with wastewater. Despite all the ongoing suppression, they continued their protest chanting patriotic chants. In the meantime, two residents from the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood were detained and subjected to field inspection by occupation forces before being transferred to a police vehicle.
For nearly three months, Israeli forces have prohibited solidarity activists from supporting the residents of the Neighborhood who are threatened with displacement and obstructed the work of paramedics and journalists.
Twenty-eight Palestinian families are facing the threat of expulsion from their homes, which they have been living in since 1956.
