Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei stated that “despite all the hostile propaganda by the enemies, the safety precautions dictated by the coronavirus pandemic, and other problems, the turnout was magnificent and people created a great epic in this election, which disappointed the enemies".

The Iranian leader in his speech on Tuesday described the endorsement ceremonies as "a manifestation of a smooth and flexible transfer of power."

The Iranian leader in his speech on Tuesday, during the endorsement ceremony, stressed that the newly elected President must listen to the voice of the people, stating that "this is a very important matter. It is necessary to conduct a sincere dialogue with the Iranian people, identify solutions and programs, and provide them with assistance." 

The Iranian leader called for "attracting the Iranian youth energies that can overcome problems, and categorically combat corruption, especially through the executive authority."

Khamenei continued that, “any economic step must be based on a forethought plan, and the formation of the government must be expedited because the circumstances do not bear any delay in this process.”

The Iranian leader asserted that there was a “soft war waged against Iran through a funded massive media campaign with the aim of influencing the public opinion,” stressing that “this war continues to influence world public opinion against Iran.”

Raisi: We will solve our problems thanks to our people, our youth, and our competent individuals

For his part, President-elect Ebrahim Raisi announced that the elections of May 28 were a message from the people to fight corruption and ease economic struggles.

In a speech on Tuesday after his endorsement ceremony by the Iranian leader, Raisi stated that "the recent elections embodied the true will of the people, who recorded a new epic, which disappointed the enemies."

Raisi added, “We are fully confident that we will find solutions to our problems thanks to our people, our youth, and our competent individuals. And I am here to serve the people.”

This comes after the Iranian leader signed on Tuesday the constitutional decree appointing the winner of the elections, Raisi, as President of the Republic.

In addition to Iran's leader, numerous leaders participated in the ceremony, among which were the heads of the presidency, parliament and prime ministry, the head of the Expediency Council, former President Hassan Rouhani, numerous ministers of the former's government, as well as current and former officials and military leaders.
