The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity announced on Wednesday that 14 power transmission towers were sabotaged.

Salah ad Din Governorate's Electricity Grid Director Safaa Al-Janabi told the Iraqi News Agency that several power transmission towers that feed eastern Salah ad Din have been sabotaged, causing blackouts in the area.

The ministry's spokesperson, ahmed Moussa, told the agency that the targeting is a "fierce attack on power transmission lines and towers."

On June 28th, an ISIS terrorist attack targeted the Salah ad Din thermal power station with Katyusha rockets.
