Iran: We Work On Strengthening Security in The Gulf
Iranian armed forces Spokesman Abu al-Fadl Shakarji said that "the strategy of the US, Britain, and "Israel" is based on destabilizing the security of the region by blaming Iran."
Iranian armed forces Spokesman Abu al-Fadl Shakarji stated that "if Iran decides to confront the enemies, it will do so and declare it as it did in Ain al-Assad."
Shakarji declared that "the recently fabricated accusations are within the framework of psychological warfare, and express the enemy's fear of unity in Iran," adding that "the fabrication of forged documents is easy, especially for Israelis, who have a long history of forging documents and fabricating an explosion on a ship is also not difficult for them."
The spokesman pointed that "the strategy of the US, Britain, and "Israel" is based on destabilizing the security of the region by blaming Iran," adding that "our strategy is based on strengthening security in the Gulf."
He assured that "US forces claimed to have extracted an Iranian drone from the sea," whilst wondering "in which laboratory was this confirmed?"
Earlier today, the US Central Command published the results of an investigation conducted into the attack on the MV Mercer Street oil tanker operated by an Israeli company in the Sea of Oman, which concluded that a drone "made in Iran" caused the bombing of the ship.
This coincides with Iran's deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, Zahra Ershadi, reassuring Tehran's refusal to being accused of attacking an Israeli oil tanker, and considered this accusation an "Israeli attempt to divert attention from its crimes."
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated "there is no justification for this attack, which follows a pattern of attacks and other belligerent behavior. These actions threaten freedom of navigation through this crucial waterway, international shipping and commerce, and the lives of those on the vessels involved."
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett confirmed that his government was working on an "appropriate response to the attack."
