Yesterday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi received the first dose of the Iranian COVIran Barekat vaccine against the Coronavirus. In a brief statement after that, he stressed the need to complete the process of general vaccination to enhance the immunity of citizens in the face of this epidemic virus.
Raisi to the medical staff:
Raisi expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the medical staff in the country and their sacrifices to protect citizens from the deadly pandemic. Once again, it is emphasized that all energies will be taken in the context of accelerating the pace of vaccination with anti-Coronavirus vaccines inside the country and its completion before the fall.
In addition, Raisi stressed that the reliance in the process of general vaccination against Corona will be on locally produced vaccines, and foreign copies of these vaccines will only be purchased to meet the country's need in this regard.
Moreover, Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei expressed his thanks after receiving the vaccine, saying: "I extend my heartfelt thanks to all those who put effort and employed their knowledge, experience, and scientific and practical dedication to enable the country to have this great and honorable advancement, and I mean the Corona vaccine."
Confirmed number of cases
The Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced the registration of 39,619 injuries and 542 new deaths during the past 24 hours, which are new figures in the number of infections and deaths since the outbreak of the Corona virus. The total number of confirmed cases today are up to 4,158,729.
