The Occupation Succumbs to Handing Over the Body of a Martyr
The Israeli occupation forces injure and arrest tens of Palestinians in the town of "Beita", during the “night confusion” activities held against the enemy’s continuous attacks.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested a number of Palestinians, in the town of Beita, during the “night confusion” activities that are ongoing for the 102nd day despite the occupation's continuous attacks.
Palestinian sources confirmed that tens of Palestinians were wounded as they stood up against these attacks, which continued until dawn on Monday.
As the occupation forces were storming the town, calls were made through the mosques’ loudspeakers urging the citizens and youths to confront them and repel the attack.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported 53 injuries during the confrontations in Beita last night.
Beita Deputy Mayor Mussa Hamayel said that a large infantry unit stormed the town at dawn and raided a number of houses.
Palestinian sources announced that the occupation decided to hand over the body of Martyr Shadi Omar Salim from the town of Beita in Nablus, after several demands by activists.
A statement by the General Authority for Civil Affairs said that the body will be handed over, near Awarta, south of Nablus, to be laid to his final resting place in his hometown.
Earlier, the activists had continued the “night confusion” activities, demanding the release of the body of Martyr Shadi Al-Sharfa.
In a related context, the Israeli occupation forces continue to suppress Palestinian youths who confront settlers in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
