17 Palestinians killed in overnight Israeli strike on Gaza
Intense Israeli bombardment of residential areas in the Gaza Strip continues, as 17 Palestinians fall victim to Israeli massacres.
The Israeli occupation military launched a series of attacks on various areas of the Gaza Strip early on Friday, killing at least 17 people.
In the northern region of the Strip, Israeli forces demolished residential buildings and carried out a series of airstrikes in Jabalia. Israeli troops opened fire at residential areas in Jabalia and the al-Saftawi neighborhood, while setting homes on fire near Beit Lahia Square.
The occupation also directly bombed Kamal Adwan Hospital, targeting its oxygen unit. This caused the health of a premature infant to deteriorate after the oxygen supply was cut off. Despite the strike, medical teams worked tirelessly to repair the damaged oxygen lines.
Following the attack on Kamal Adwan Hospital, Israeli drones targeted al-Awda Hospital.
Just a day earlier, an Israeli strike that targeted residential areas near the Kamal Adwan Hospital killed and injured dozens of Palestinians.
In the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, an airstrike targeted the home of the Abu Asr family, killing seven members of the household. Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled the western part of the al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City.
In the central Gaza Strip, two people were killed in a helicopter strike on the home of the Abu Samra family in Deir al-Balah. Five others lost their lives in an attack north of al-Nuseirat Camp, where several were also injured.
In southern Gaza, a woman and her child were killed when Israeli forces targeted a tent sheltering displaced persons in western Khan Younis. Additionally, Israeli aircraft struck a home in central Rafah.
These casualties add to the more than 44,055 martyrs and 104,265 injuries reported since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Amid ongoing attacks, many victims remain trapped under rubble or stranded in the streets. Rescue efforts by ambulance and civil defense teams have been hampered by the accumulation of debris and direct Israeli attacks restricting their movements.
