21-year-old Palestinian martyred in Nablus
The Palestinian Ministry of Health says a 21-year-old Palestinian was martyred in Nablus during an IOF raid.
A 21-year-old Palestinian was martyred after succumbing to his wounds, which he had sustained after the Israeli occupation shot him after a raid on the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, the Palestinian health ministry said Wednesday.
Ahmad Amer Abu Junaid, 21, was martyred after he was shot in the head. He was transported to the governmental Rafidia Surgical Hospital in a critical situation before he was declared dead soon thereafter, the Palestinian health ministry added.
The Israeli occupation forces had snuck into the camp before surrounding a home in it, which led to intense and violent confrontations that saw the IOF firing live bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas toward the Palestinians.
Palestinian sources said that armed confrontations broke out in light of the IOF's storming, noting that the occupation caused serious damage to a home they broke into in the Balata Camp.
The Israeli occupation forces continued their incursions into various cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, with citizens reporting injuries in Ramallah and Al-Khalil on Tuesday.
Furthermore, the occupation forces arrested 19 citizens from several areas, demolished several homes and facilities, and notified others in various other governorates that their homes or facilities would be demolished. The IOF also uprooted 14 olive trees east of Salfit.
Earlier today, at dawn, Palestinian youths confronted Israeli occupation forces after they stormed the town of Fahma, southwest of Jenin, and raided a house in the town.
The Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian youth man in Surif, north of Al-Khalil, after raiding his house.
Moreover, two Palestinians, including a child, were injured in an attack by an Israeli settler with stones in the Tel Rumeida area of Al-Khalil.
Local sources also indicated that an Israeli settler attacked children with stones in a clear flagrant assault, which led to the injury of the child, Abd Shaheen, with bruises, and the injury of the activist, Issa Amro, after he intervened to protect the children.
The Palestinian Information Center recorded 15 acts of resistance in the West Bank and Al-Quds, most notably three shooting attacks, the destruction of settlers' vehicles, and confrontations at 10 different locations over the past 24 hours.
