3 Palestinians Arrested on Suspicions of Aiding the 6 Palestinian prisoners
According to the Israeli Walla website, 3 young men from the town of Na'ura near Afula were arrested on suspicion of assisting the 6 Palestinian prisoners who managed to escape from Gilboa prison.
The website pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces stormed a mosque in the village, where the 3 were arrested. A source in the Israeli police said It is not excluded that some fleeing security prisoners will try to reach the Gaza Strip.
The presence of police forces has increased, notably in the north of the nation, and over 200 roadblocks have been set, remarked an Israeli policeman.
Previously, the Channel 13 military affairs commentator, Alon Ben David, explained that there is no particular information on Shin Bet's table, with the police investigators, or anyone else, and that's the primary issue.
The tactic they are trying to implement today is to put pressure, he said. He explained that many army forces entered villages that are not within Israeli territory; that there are army forces trying to carry out inspections, and of course large forces of border guards and police inside "Israel."
He went on to say that the police have encouraged the public to remain watchful, to report any suspicious activity, and that they expect a clash with the prisoners if they are inside the Israeli territories in which case the forces must respond promptly.
Israeli search operations for the 6 prisoners who liberated themselves have so far not yielded any major results, according to Israeli media, who said that the search has reached a "dead end."
Israeli occupation forces also decreased the number of roadblocks they had erected from 200 to 89. All of the remaining roadblocks are in the area bordering the occupied West Bank.
