In another aid massacre in Gaza, over 25 Palestinians were martyred and 70 others injured on Sunday morning after Israeli occupation forces bombed a humanitarian aid distribution point on Al-Tineh Street, south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to the director of Nasser Medical Complex.
The attack targeted civilians gathering to receive food aid, in what marks one of the deadliest recent strikes on aid-seeking civilians in the Strip. Per the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, and as of July 17, the number of martyrs in aid center massacres has reached 877, with 5,666 injured.
In western Khan Younis, a Palestinian was martyred and several others injured following an airstrike that targeted tents sheltering displaced civilians near the Japanese neighborhood. Meanwhile, in western Gaza City, occupation warplanes struck a residential apartment, injuring multiple civilians. And in the central Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery shelling hit areas north of Al-Nuseirat and Al-Bureij refugee camps.
The targeting of displacement zones continued in the north, where two Palestinians were martyred and several others injured in Jabalia al-Balad, as reported by Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza.
Multiple strikes across Gaza City and northern areas such as Jabalia have contributed to a growing civilian death toll, with many of the victims identified as displaced persons and aid seekers. These bombardments have compounded the effects of ongoing famine and displacement, as hospitals struggle to cope with mass casualties amid dwindling medical supplies and blocked humanitarian corridors.
650,000 children at risk due to Israeli blockade
According to the Government Media Office in Gaza, 139 days have passed since the complete closure of all border crossings into the Strip. During this period, "Israel" has blocked the entry of approximately 76,450 humanitarian aid and fuel trucks.
The blockade has created a critical shortage of food, medicine, and fuel. While dozens of children have already been martyred due to starvation, an estimated 650,000 children remain at risk of death from hunger and severe malnutrition. The death toll from malnutrition in Gaza has risen to at least 69 children, with the total number of starvation-related fatalities reaching 620, according to the territory's Government Media Office.
The situation continues to deteriorate as occupation forces expand their targeting of displaced communities and civilian infrastructure, leaving much of Gaza’s population without access to essential life-saving aid.
