Israeli occupation forces have continued intensifying the brutal airstrikes on various Lebanese villages and towns in southern Lebanon, particularly in the districts of Tyre and Nabatiyeh, extending to the Southern Suburb of Beirut, and reaching the Bekaa Valley and Baalbek. The attacks not only destroyed civilian infrastructure, such as residences, commercial buildings, and private properties, but also massacred civilians unable to evacuate their homes and areas.
South Lebanon
On Friday evening, Israeli warplanes carried out numerous airstrikes targeting towns including Kawthariyat al-Siyad in the Saida district, central Ansar and Nabatieh, Roumin, Houmine al-Tahta in the Nabatieh district, and Deir Siryan in the Marjayoun district.
In the border town of Khiam, field sources reported that the Israeli occupation army carried out extremely violent attacks on the area. The blasts were heard and felt in neighboring towns, while enemy warplanes also carried out two airstrikes on Khiam.
Earlier, Israeli artillery shelled the area between the towns of Bustan and Marwahin in the Tyre district, whereas an airstrike targeted the main road between Qsaibeh and Adchit in the Marjayoun district.
Intense airstrikes continue to hit the city of Tyre in southern Lebanon. One airstrike, which targeted a motorcycle in the town of Toura, resulted in the death of two people.
Additionally, Israeli warplanes struck the area between Samaiyah and Deir Qanoun-Ras al-Ain in Tyre, as well as the town of Qatrani in the Jezzine district.
The Lebanese Health Ministry reported the martyrdom of three paramedics and the injury of three others after an Israeli attack deliberately targeted a Health Association crew in Qatrani, Jezzine district.
The National News Agency (NNA) reported that the Israeli aggression on Qatrani led to a power outage in four towns.
Beirut and its southern suburbs
Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over several Lebanese regions, including the capital Beirut, while Israeli reconnaissance drones continued to hover in the skies above the city.
Beirut’s Southern Suburb witnessed a series of violent airstrikes on various areas, destroying several residential buildings, particularly in Haret Hreik, Hadath, and Ghobeiry. A heavy strike also targeted the old Saida-Ain al-Remmeneh road, destroying a 12-story building, following Israeli threats to demolish specific structures in these areas.
An Israeli airstrike in the Chiyah area was one of the heaviest on Friday, as it was heard and felt in several towns across Beirut.
