Three Israeli occupation soldiers were wounded on Saturday in the city of Tubas in the northern West Bank, when Resistance fighters targeted an infantry patrol with an explosive device.
Eyewitnesses in the area reported that the occupation forces quickly deployed reinforcements to the site and launched a large-scale search operation. The operation was accompanied by intense gunfire in the vicinity of the attack.
West Bank Resistance resilient: Hamas
In a statement, Hamas affirmed that the resistance in the West Bank “will not be broken or suppressed despite all attempts by the occupation to neutralize it through repression, arrests, security measures, and the deployment of checkpoints.”
The movement emphasized that such operations are “a sincere expression of our people's anger and rejection of the occupation, its colonial practices, and its plans for annexation and normalization.”
Hamas further asserted that the Palestinian people have the legitimate right to resist the occupation and respond to its crimes across all fronts: in the West Bank, Gaza, and Al-Quds.
The group pointed to the occupation's ongoing policies of “killing, extermination, displacement, Judaization, and settlement” as the driving force behind continued resistance efforts.
Aggression on West Bank persists
Israeli occupation forces launched a series of large-scale raids and incursions into various areas of al-Quds and the West Bank at dawn on Saturday.
In Jenin, the IOF stormed the Al-Marah neighborhood and the town of Beit Qad, arresting a young man from the town. They also arrested two young men from a residential building in the city.
Occupation forces continued their raid into the town of Beita, south of Nablus, amid heavy deployment and military vehicles in the town's neighborhoods. An ambulance crew was detained near the Samer Abu Zeitoun barracks during the ongoing raid.
The occupation forces also stormed the old and new Askar camps east of Nablus.
In occupied al-Quds, occupation forces raided the home of freed prisoner Mahmoud Musa Issa, who was deported to Egypt, in the town of Anata. They also stormed the Qalandia camp north of the city, firing sound bombs intensively during the raid.
