Three Pakistani soldiers and three children were killed Sunday as a result of a suicide bombing that occurred in the vicinity of Miran Shah, North Waziristan, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISRP) in a statement.
According to ISPR, “Intelligence agencies are investigating to find out about [the] suicide bomber and his handlers."
The ISPR said the six were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up in the Miran Shah area.
On his part, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the bombing and extended his condolences to the families of the soldiers and the children.
Sharif tweeted that “Blood of our soldiers & citizens is a debt on us that we will repay by eradicating terrorism from our country.”

Similarly, Pakistan's Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb was quoted by Radio Pakistan as saying that the "Sacrifices of security personnel for restoration of law and order in the country will not go in vain."
It is worth mentioning that Shehbaz Sharif was elected as Pakistan's new Prime Minister earlier this month, following the ouster of Imran Khan, who resigned his national assembly seat – along with the majority of his party members – ahead of the vote.
Khan accused the opposition of buying support in the assembly with "open horse-trading... selling of lawmakers like goats and sheep", further accusing them of conspiring with Washington because of his opposition to US foreign policy.
Sharif, the leader of the centrist Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), was the only candidate after Khan loyalist and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi withdrew his candidacy and resigned his seat.
