"Israel" carried out a failed assassination attempt
Earlier today, Israeli occupation forces attempted to assassinate a group of Palestinian Resistance fighters through missiles launched from a drone in the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
An eyewitness told Al Mayadeen that an explosion was heard at six o'clock this morning, followed by another explosion.
"It turned out that an Israeli occupation forces drone targeted one of the cars with a missile on Amman Street, and then pursued it," he said.
The eyewitness added, "As soon as the car reached Balata Camp, it was targeted with a second missile, causing two explosions in front of and behind it," noting that it was "a direct operation targeting the car."

'Israel' arrested over 4,420 Palestinians in occupied West Bank
The organizations involved in Palestinian prisoners' affairs in the occupied West Bank revealed Tuesday that the Israeli occupation forces have been ramping up their detention campaign.
Lower estimates from data collected by appropriate organizations suggest that at least 4,420 Palestinians were detained across the occupied West Bank, noting that this number includes those who were kept in detention by the occupation and those who were later released.
A previous report on December 13 revealed that 4,000 Palestinians were arrested all over the occupied West Bank, with many, at least 1,000, from al-Khalil.
At least 150 women have been arrested thus far, both from the West Bank and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948. Additionally, more than 255 children have been arrested.
In terms of journalists detained by the Israeli occupation, there have been 45 recorded cases since October 7, 32 of whom are still incarcerated.
The Israeli occupation since the operation has also issued more than 2,100 administrative detention orders, including new ones and renewals of old ones.
Amid the rampant detention campaign, there were six fatalities recorded in Israeli prisons, including Omar Daraghmeh from Rubas, Arafat Hamdan from Ramallah, Majed Zaqoul from Gaza, a fourth martyr whose identity is yet to be discovered, Abdulrahman Merhi from Salfit, and Thaer Abu Assab from Qalqilya.

The data regarding the number of prisoners includes those who were detained and then liberated and those who are still in detention, and it does not include any arrests made in Gaza as the Israeli occupation could choose not to declare any detentions there.
The total number of prisoners in the Israeli occupation's prisons is at least 7,800, including more than 2,870 administrative detainees and 260 people classified as "unlawful combatants" from Gaza.
