40 top Israeli security officials, figures agree: Netanyahu has to go
The snowball effect of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood continues to rattle the Israeli entity.
Over 40 former Israeli national security officials, celebrated scientists, and prominent business leaders have called on the occupation's President to forcibly remove Benjamin Netanyahu from office for being an "existential" threat to the country.
In a letter to Israeli President Isaac Herzog, the officials hold Netanyahu "primarily responsible" for "creating the circumstances" and fragmentation within "Israel" that led to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, including his right-wing cabinet and various policies.
The letter touched on how leaders of Iran and the Palestinian and Lebanese Resistance saw a destabilized "Israel" and utilized this weakness to fight the occupation.
Haim Tomer, a Mossad officer who signed, told CNN that the occupation was now being led by "idiots", detailing that “everybody understands that Netanyahu is incompetent to lead Israel."
The letter also contends that Netanyahu has refused responsibility for the events of October 7, accusing him of “blaming others and inciting against those who had fought to save the Israeli democracy from his destructive actions and plans."
The signatories pleaded with Herzog and the Knesset speaker to replace Netanyahu, emphasizing that "the Israeli nation and Jewish history will not forgive you if you don’t fulfill your utmost national responsibility.”
Last Friday, US President Joe Biden held a call with the Israeli Prime minister and urged him to end the war before the November elections, reflecting growing US concern about the continuation of the war.
Netanyahu has been adamant about his uncompromising position on maintaining full security control over the occupied West Bank and declared that his "insistence has prevented for years the establishment of a Palestinian state that would have constituted an existential threat to Israel."
A recent poll conducted by Israeli Channel 13 shed light on the current preferences for the leadership of the Israeli regime, and incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems to be hitting absolute rock bottom at a time of war.
The survey, conducted among a diverse cross-section of Israeli settlers, indicates that if elections were held today, former Israeli occupation forces chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot would garner 45% of the vote, while Netanyahu trails with 32%.
The New York Times detailed in a recent report that public sentiment in Israeli society is shifting from grief to indignation.
On Monday, a group of 20 Israeli settler protesters stormed the Knesset Finance Committee meeting in occupied al-Quds amid growing outrage over Benjamin Netanyahu’s refusal to agree to take on a deal on a ceasefire and the release of Israeli captives. The settlers demanded action from occupation lawmakers to assist in releasing their family members being held as captives.
Freeing captives, destroying Hamas pure science fiction, Smotrich says
Israeli occupation Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich believes that the claim that Israeli captives in Gaza can be released and then "Israel" could go back to fighting and eliminate Hamas is "science fiction".
The Knesset Channel quoted Smotrich as saying that he would not agree to a deal that includes a ceasefire with Hamas, adding, "You can say that releasing the captives and going back to fighting and eliminating Hamas is science fiction."
It is worth noting that Smotrich and Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir always urge in their extremist statements to continue fighting and continue the war with the declared aim of destroying the Gaza Strip.
