42 Palestinians have been killed since the early hours of Wednesday in the horrific Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, particularly Gaza City, which accounted for 32 of the martyrs, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
The initial death toll, our correspondent noted, stood at 33, 28 of whom were killed in Gaza City.
Meanwhile, three civilians were martyred and others injured by Israeli occupation forces while waiting for aid north of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, in yet another crime against unarmed civilians.
Gaza City has been under monstrous attack for weeks after the Israeli regime announced plans to invade and occupy it. Despite the hazards, the Government Media Office in Gaza stated that more than 900,000 people remain steadfast in the city. 335,000 others have been forcibly displaced to southern Gaza amid the relentless Israeli attacks, massacres, and bombardment.
Costs soar, fuel runs dry, medical services increasingly unavailable
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has raised alarm over the extreme hardship facing Palestinians in Gaza City as they struggle to flee ongoing Israeli assaults, with families being forced to shoulder staggering costs simply to escape bombardment, with expenses reaching as high as $3,180.
UNRWA explained that this figure breaks down into $1,000 for a taxi, $2,000 for a single-family tent, and $180 for a plot of land.
The soaring costs reflect a deeper collapse of humanitarian conditions. Over the past month alone, more than 250,000 people were newly displaced from Gaza City during intensified Israeli raids, part of a broader wave of mass displacement across the enclave.
Fuel stocks have run dry after the closure of key entry points, while northern Gaza has officially slipped into famine.
In this context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza warned that continued delays in fuel entry risk shutting down hospital generators, which would lead to the suspension of the few available medical services and consequently lead to an astronomic rise in martyrs.
