60 martyrs have fallen to maintain Iran's security: IRGC chief
IRGC Deputy Commander-in-Chief says the enemies of Iran failed to achieve a military victory, so they resorted to other methods, including a massive disinformation campaign.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, confirmed that 60 martyrs have fallen in the recent incidents to preserve the security of the nation and its people.
In a speech, Fadavi pointed out that were it not for the Iranian authorities' attempts to appease the deceived in these incidents, the riots would have ended within six days.
The Brigadier General said the "wicked" have once again committed errors and fallen into delusions in their calculations, thinking that they can eliminate the Islamic Republic government.
Fadavi indicated that the level of hidden hatred among the enemies of the Islamic Revolution, from the first day of its victory until now, has increased at times and reached its peak, which proves their defeat and helplessness.
The Iranian General also touched on the ban imposed by the enemies on Iran since the first day of the victory of its Islamic revolution, saying that Iran has never faced the problems that the West is currently facing.
He also pointed to the achievements that Iran has reached in the military field and reaching the stage of deterrence against enemies, stressing that the Iranian people helped in exposing the world's most evil.
Fadavi stressed that the enemies failed to achieve a military victory over Iran, so they resorted to other methods, including a massive disinformation campaign.
A few days ago, IRGC Commander Major General, Hossein Salami, underlined that all the devils of the world have come together against Iran, namely the US, Britain, France, Germany, the Zionist entity, Saudi Arabia, and others.
Iran reserves right to pursue terrorist operations
On Saturday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist attacks on the cities of Izeh, Isfahan, and Mashhad.
In a statement, the Ministry pointed out that "the terrorist crimes witnessed in the cities of Izeh, Isfahan and Mashhad confirm the criminal nature of the enemies of the Islamic regime."
"Iran reserves the right to pursue these terrorist operations legally and judicially and to hold the perpetrators and governments that support them accountable," the statement underlined, affirming that Iran "will do everything in its power to protect the rights of the Iranian people."
On Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian accused "Israel" and Western intelligence agencies of conspiring to divide Iran and igniting a civil war, stressing that "Iranians will not be deceived by such plans."
IRGC intelligence chief, Colonel Nader Bayrami, was assassinated on Friday in the city of Sahneh in Kermanshah province at the hands of rioters.
"During a ceremony in the city of Sahneh, a number of rioters and thugs created chaos and attacked the security forces with white arms," Governor of Sahneh, Jahanbakhsh Zanganeh Tabar, said in an interview for IRNA.
"Colonel Bayrami was martyred during this attack," Zanganeh Tabar said, stressing that the perpetrators had been arrested and handed over to judicial authorities.
This comes a few days after two members of the Basij and two other members of the Border Guard forces were killed in two attacks on Thursday.
