Iran will 'certainly' respond to Israeli aggression: IRGC Deputy Cmdr
Brigadier General Ali Fadavi reiterates that an Iranian response to the Israeli aggression against its national sovereignty is inevitable.
Iran will "certainly" respond to the Israeli aggression against its sovereignty, the Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, asserted.
During his speech on the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, Fadavi confirmed that a response, expected to be named Operation True Promise III, will be carried out, without providing further information.
In this context, he affirmed that Iran has been defending the oppressed and countering the oppressor, stressing that it stands on the right side of history.
The war on Gaza exposed the truth to communities across the globe, making them realize that they had been deceived for 76 years, the commander stated, highlighting that the aftermath was the protests witnessed in 91% of the world.
"The people of the world understood that the Zionist regime is the occupier, and they occupied the Palestinian land, evicted the people from their homes, and killed the people, women, and children," he said.
This followed the confirmation of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Sayyed Ali Khamenei that the United States and the Israeli occupation will bear the crushing consequences of their atrocities.
Ceasefire may affect the severity, type of our response: Pezeshkian
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian earlier stated that the Israeli occupation must agree to a ceasefire and halt its aggression in the region if it hopes to mitigate the intensity of Iran's response to its recent attack.
Speaking at a Cabinet meeting on Sunday, Pezeshkian criticized the double standards exhibited by the United States and European countries regarding the escalations in the region.
He stated, "Today, all countries in the region have come to this conclusion that the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks to establish peace and stability while the criminal Zionist regime is seeking to exacerbate crisis and war in the region."
He further emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not allow the recent aggression by the criminal occupation against its national sovereignty and territorial integrity to go unanswered, declaring, "They know very well that if they make any mistake against the Islamic Republic of Iran, they will receive a crushing response."
Linking the anticipated Iranian response to the ongoing aggression on Lebanon and Gaza, he affirmed, "If they [the Israelis] reconsider their behavior, accept the ceasefire, and stop the killing and massacring of the oppressed and innocent people of the region, it may affect the type and severity of our response."
