81% of Israelis evacuated from north dissatisfied with IOF performance
A military affairs correspondent at the Israeli Channel 13 emphasizes that 55,000 Israeli settlers were evacuated from the north and have not yet returned to their settlements.
More than 81% of Israelis in northern occupied Palestine will not return to their settlements without Hezbollah being pushed beyond the Litani River compared to 5% who are willing to return, the Israeli Channel 13 reported citing a recent opinion poll.
The poll found that 42% of Israeli settlers evacuated from the North and the South were satisfied with the performance of the Israeli military during the war, while 22% were not.
It revealed that 81% of evacuated northern settlers were dissatisfied with the Israeli military's "achievements" in the war against Hezbollah, compared to 6% satisfied.
As for Southern settlers, 44% said they were satisfied while 24% were not.
Asked about under what circumstances they would return to their settlements, 55% of Southern settlers said they would not return without the elimination of Hamas, while 27% said they would do so even without this happening.
In a related context, Hezi Simantov, Arab Affairs correspondent at the Israeli Channel 13, highlighted that 81% of settlers in the North are dissatisfied with how the Israeli military is handling the war with Hezbollah.
He suggested that the Lebanese Resistance group's Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, is the one who decides whether northern settlers will return to their settlements and the conditions under which they will return.
On his part, Or Heller, Military affairs correspondent at Israeli Channel 13, emphasized that 55,000 settlers were evacuated from the north and have not yet returned to their settlements, adding that those in the south have also not returned.
Eyal Berkovic, an analyst on the Israeli Channel 13, considered that "Israel" has failed in the war because four things have not been achieved: eliminating Hamas, releasing the captives held by the Palestinian Resistance, stopping the rocket fire, and returning evacuated Israelis to their settlements.
He suggested that the war "will not end" because Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not want it to, adding that the premier "does not care about the north or the south, only his chair."
