Islamic Jihad Movement

After the announcement of the escape of 6 Palestinian prisoners from Gilboa maximum security Prison, north of occupied Palestine, the Islamic Jihad Movement told Al Mayadeen that Mahmoud Abdallah al-Arda is the "prince" of the prisoners in Gilboa prison and the one who led the prisoners' escape.

The source added that the prisoners' escape constitutes a severe blow and shock to the Israeli army and the entire regime in "Israel", calling the escape "heroic".

Islamic Jihad senior official, Maher al-Akhras told Al Mayadeen that "the prisoners that succeeded in escaping have had prior attempts," announcing that "they have stomped on Israeli security by escaping from the fortified Gilboa prison."

Hamas Movement Spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said that the prisoners' escape, despite the prisons' complex and maximum security, is a "brave and heroic move," adding that the fact that a number of prisoners managed to escape is a victory for the will and determination of "our heroic prisoners."

Barhoum noted that "this great victory proves that the will and determination" of resistance fighters is "indomitable and invincible," adding that the prisoners' accomplishment is a "true challenge to the occupation's security, which it boasts as being the best in the world."

"This great victory," Barhoum declared, "proves that the enemy has not and will never win, despite its capabilities or power," and that "the struggle for freedom against the occupation is ongoing, stretching both inside and outside the prisons in order to uphold that right."

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, on its part, stressed that the occupation is weakening and that the heroism of the prisoners is a message that the will for freedom yields in victories.

PRC: The image of the freedom tunnel in Gilboa Prison will be immortal

The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) also commented on the escape, saying that “the escape of the six prisoners from the Zionist prisons of oppression is a major victory for all prisoners, for our resisting Palestinian people, and for all the free people of the world.”

The PRC also added that the escape of the “heroic prisoners from one of the most complex and secure prisons is a major blow and great failure for the Zionist security system,” clarifying that Gilboa Prison was designed to prevent the escape of prisoners and to break their will; today, however, the heroes of Palestine have proven that their will and determination are stronger than the Zionist jailer and their complex security. The image of the “tunnel of freedom” in Gilboa Prison will be immortalized as another testament to the weakness and frailty of the Zionist entity.

The Mujahideen Movement: This victory is an Israeli intelligence and security failure

Meanwhile, the Mujahideen Movement said that the heroic escape from Gilboa Prison is a major victory scored by the prisoners, adding that this further confirms the prisoners’ great will and determination. “This blessed escape,” they said, “is a practical step that carries the good omen of the coming liberation of all our prisoners,” emphasizing that this victory constitutes an Israeli intelligence and security failure that lays bare the security myth propagated by the enemy.

The Movement’s statement also noted that fall and failure are to be the headlines of the coming period for the “weak and inept” Zionist leadership, and that this failure of the current Zionist leadership confirms that the entity’s end is now near.
