Ziyad al-Nakhalah: 6 men moved the battle to the heart of the enemy and broke through his security measure.
The Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement Ziyad al-Nakhala said on Monday, that "six men of our heroic fighters are taking the battle into the heart of the enemy, violating all its security measures, and telling the story of an unbroken and unrelenting people."
In a statement, al-Nakhalah called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank to protect the brave mujahideen, stressing that occupation forces should not be helped to pursue them.
Al-Nakhalah described today as a "big day for the Palestinian people," stressing that Palestinian strength cannot perish so long as men rise and choose to fight instead of surrender.
The Secretary-General explained that the Freedom Brigade, the Jenin epic battalion, penetrates all Zionist security measures and offers a safe passage from imprisonment to freedom.
PIJ source: High alert in the ranks of the occupation army
A source from the Islamic Jihad movement divulged to Al-Mayadeen that "Mahmoud Abdullah al-Ardah is the leader of the prisoners' escape."
The source added that a severe blow to the Israeli occupation was delivered with the escape, detailing that it would cause a severe shock to the Israeli security system.
Israeli media: Gilboa is one of the most fortified prisons in "Israel"
Israeli media confirmed that six Palestinian prisoners managed to escape from Gilboa prison near the occupied city of Bisan, at dawn on Monday, although the prison is considered one of the most fortified prisons of the Israeli occupation.
The occupation announced that their police forces launched a large-scale search operation in the area crowded with villages and towns and close to the border with the northern West Bank, as well as Jordan.
It is believed that the six dug a tunnel they used to break free from Gilboa prison, and were reported missing around 4:00 AM.
Following the incident, Israeli media reported that the occupation transferred approximately 400 prisoners from Gilboa Prison to other prisons for fear of additional tunnels, detailing that hundreds of members of the Special Police Unit were summoned to Gilboa Prison to investigate the escape incident.
According to Israeli media, the area around the prison was thoroughly inspected. The Israeli occupation closed several checkpoints and tightened its measures on other military checkpoints in the West Bank.
In the same context, a high-ranking security source divulged that the prisoners' escape from prison reflects a "series of serious failures."
Hezbollah congratulated the Palestinian people and its resistance factions on the success of the breaking operation from Gilboa prison.
Hezbollah: The achievement sheds light on the struggle of Palestinian prisoners
Hezbollah announced in a statement that "what the honorable Mujahideen have done is a qualitative achievement that constitutes a strong blow to the occupation and its strict security measures."
The party added that "this achievement is further evidence of the vitality, intelligence, patience and continuous struggle of the Palestinian people to liberate his land and captives. This achievement also constitutes an opportunity to shed light on the struggle of prisoners and detainees in "Israeli" prisons. It represents an opportunity to expose the arbitrary practices and serious violations committed by the occupation forces."
Hezbollah continues in its statement: "We ask God to protect the liberated prisoners and that the resistance forces be able to liberate all the prisoners."
