In August and September 2025, one of the arrested suspects purchased a shotgun, an AR-15 style rifle, and firearm accessories, including a forced reset trigger, which increases the fire rate of the rifle, while another suspect bought an AR-15 style rifle and additional accessories; in October 2025, the same suspect also acquired over 1,600 rounds of ammunition suitable for their rifles.
Furthermore, the two suspects, accompanied by two more co-conspirators, practiced shooting firearms at gun ranges, sometimes together, and sometimes separately.
