Iran's missile capabilities inflicted significant damage on "vital centers and key assets of the Israeli entity" during the recent 12-day war, stated Iranian Security Minister Esmail Khatib, asserting that "the impact of the strikes has been acknowledged by the occupation itself."
Khatib stressed that "the Israeli entity is suffering from security breaches and espionage activities benefiting Iran," adding that Israeli documents related to its atomic energy program, along with other highly sensitive files, had been entirely transferred to Iran. He described this as a reflection of the competence of Iran's security, military, and intelligence apparatuses.
The minister also emphasized that a decline in "Israel's" international standing and popularity is one of the most significant outcomes of the recent war.
Regarding the US policy, the security minister argued that Washington has shifted its approach from overthrowing the Iranian government to attempting to contain it through increasing pressure. He suggested that the US is now focusing on Iran's domestic situation after externally supported figures and networks failed to influence the Iranian public.
Khatib further argued that part of the "enemy's scheme" involves escalating military threats and reinforcing blockades. He also pointed to an expansion of the US military presence, NATO forces, and their allies in the region, as well as the strengthening of Israeli bases. He stated that this contradicts previous statements by US President Donald Trump about reducing troop deployments.
Iran's missile program continues to grow: Iranian Armed Forces spox.
On the military front, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said Iran’s armed forces are steadily enhancing the country’s missile capabilities.
In an interview for Mehr News Agency, the senior spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces stated that Iran's missile program is on a path of continuous growth.
He emphasized that the nation's military strength is consistently increasing, declaring, "We are making upward progress in this field every single day. We are undoubtedly stronger today than we were yesterday, and we will be stronger tomorrow than we are today."
Shekarchi also credited the late IRGC Aerospace Force commander, Brigadier General Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, as the foundational architect of this strategic power, stating that Moghaddam "laid the groundwork for this power and built the foundation for Iran's ascent in this domain."
