Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said that Iran has always stressed that achieving security and stability in the region needs security arrangements emanating from within the countries of the region.

During a meeting of representatives of the countries participating in the recent Baghdad summit, Amirabdollahian stressed that diplomacy and dialogue are the way to solve crises, overcome problems, remove ambiguities and resolve differences. The minister added that without that, opportunities, capabilities, and wealth of countries in the region will be employed to support military spending and to fuel crises. Consequently, tension will rise and wars will continue.
