Abu Dhabi police report an explosion near the airport
According to the Abu Dhabi police, flying objects possibly belonging to drones may have fallen.
The Emirates News Agency reported on Monday that a fire broke out in the morning, which led to the explosion of three petroleum tankers in ICAD 3, Mussafah, near ADNOC's storage tanks, in addition to a minor fire near the new construction site of the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
According to the police, initial investigations suggest that "the cause of the fires are small flying objects, possibly drones, that have targeted the two areas." They added that "competent authorities have been dispatched," and an investigation is ongoing.
The spokesman for the Yemeni forces General Yahya Saree tweeted that an important statement will be published to announce a military operation in the UAE in the coming hours.
Reliable Yemeni sources said the military operation in the heart of the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi is still ongoing, explaining that fires are raging.
Private sources revealed to Al Mayadeen that 20 drones and 10 Yemeni ballistic missiles had hit sensitive targets in the UAE.
The sources also added that an Emirati military plane was attacked this morning at Ataq Airport in Shabwa, southeast of Yemen, leading to the disruption of its flight.
The Minister of Information in Sanaa, Daif Allah Al-Shami, said the disciplinary message that was intended to reach the Emirates had been conveyed.
