Mousa Abu Marzouk, the head of the International Relations Office of Hamas, affirmed that the position of Hamas and other Resistance factions aligns with the principles outlined in the UN Security Council ceasefire resolution. These principles include the complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, a permanent ceasefire, the provision of urgent humanitarian aid, the return of displaced persons to their homes, reconstruction, and the exchange of prisoners.

Abu Marzouk's statements came after a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov at the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow on Monday evening.

Abu Marzouk informed the Russian side about the systematic genocide the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are subjected to, the Israeli occupation plans to usurp the West Bank and al-Quds, and the blatant violations against Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation prisons.

The two officials exchanged views on the political and field developments, the overall situation regarding the Palestinian cause, efforts to halt the genocide against the Palestinian people, Palestinian unity efforts, and bridging internal Palestinian divisions.

Hamas: Netanyahu lying about Gaza civilian deaths to deceive public

Hamas affirmed that [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu's claim that the ratio of civilian to combatant deaths in Gaza is one-to-one is a lie and an erosion of global public opinion.

In a statement, the Resistance movement stressed that the allegations are a continuation of the blatant deception that seeks to cover up the war crimes and genocide committed by the occupation army that are unprecedented in modern history.

The movement mentioned the daily reports published by the Health Ministry in Gaza and other documentation, which prove that the vast majority of victims in the Gaza Strip were civilians, especially women and children, who were killed in reckless Israeli bombardments targeting their homes, hospitals, shelters, and locations that the occupation claimed were "safe zones".

This comes after Netanyahu claimed, in a televised interview, that the ratio of civilian deaths in Gaza was one-to-one to that of Resistance fighters, which was the "minimum" in modern wars.
