After calling to nuke Gaza, Israeli minister now wants it reoccupied
The minister says that Palestinians are incapable of managing a "proper civilian order" in Gaza.
Israeli "Heritage" Minister Amihai Eliyahu said on Friday that following the war on the Strip, Gaza must remain under Israeli occupation as Palestinians are incapable of managing "a proper civilian order," also noting in that context that the "two-state solution" is merely a delusion.
His statement is a reiteration of a previous position he made public, that he is in favor of the Israeli occupation taking control over Gaza, as well as restoring the settlements, which existed before the Strip was liberated by the Resistance in 2005.

In an interview with Reshet Bet Radio, Eliyahu stated, "I want to go back and establish the settlement enterprise in the Strip – but I’m not sure that now is the time to do it."
"The two states for two peoples is a delusion," he added. "I don’t see the existing apparatuses of the Palestinians being able to manage the Strip without creating new terrorist cells there."

The minister was recently involved in establishing the "Hope Forum," whose members include the pro-government families of captives.
Families in the forum consider that the war cabinet must not be influenced by any other factor, including the issue of captives, in making war decisions.
Let's nuke the monsters in Gaza
This is not the first time that Eliyahu has made a statement belittling the lives of Palestinians, nor the worst claim he made.
Last month, the minister said that nuking Gaza is on the table in light of the ongoing war on the Palestinian people in the Strip.

Eliyahu also underlined then that he was staunchly opposed to any humanitarian aid making its way to Gaza, a statement which he backed by saying, "We wouldn't hand the Nazis humanitarian aid."
"There is no such thing as uninvolved civilians in Gaza."
When asked about the fate of Palestinians in Gaza, he said they could "go to Ireland or deserts. The monsters in Gaza should find a solution by themselves."
Finally, he underlined in a more general scope that anyone who waves the Palestinian flag "shouldn't continue living on the face of the earth."
