The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of Palestine's Fatah movement, warned that it will "set the earth beneath the feet of the Israeli occupation on fire" if any harm befalls prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid.
A video was circulated, showing a number of the Brigades' members, patroling Ramallah's Al-Amari camp, and demanding the Palestinian leadership to secure Nasser Abu Hamid's freedom.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) confirmed on Wednesday that Abu Hamid (49 years old), who has cancer, has been unconscious since Tuesday in the Israeli "Barzilai" Hospital. The Club said he is on ventilators due to inflammation in his lungs, and he is in a serious, rapidly-deteriorating health condition.
Naji Abu Hamid, Naser's brother, confirmed that the malignant tumor threatening the prisoner’s life was discovered in August of last year, yet the occupation’s deliberate stalling and neglect led to the deterioration of his health.
