Al-Assad: More Arab submission results in more Zionist massacres
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad affirmed during the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that "what the valiant Palestinian Resistance imposed was a new reality in the region."
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad at the Arab-Islamic Joint Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, told the leaders of the Arab and Islamic world that the failed peace process sought after with the Arab world only resulted in more aggressiveness to be propagated by the "Israeli entity", as he described it, the situation in Palestine has thus become more miserable.
Al-Assad explained that the urgent matter bringing us together in this summit "is not the killing, but rather Zionism outdoing itself in barbarism, which puts us before unprecedented responsibilities," adding that "Talking about the two-state solution, launching the peace process, and other details is not the priority at this urgent moment."

The Syrian president underscored that the least that can be done to stand in support of Palestine, its people, and the cause, would be to utilize "actual political tools," stressing that this would entail more than releasing "statements" but rather, the most important is putting the political tools in a practical context such as "stopping any political [normalistion] process with the Zionist entity."
Al-Assad noted that "persistent criminality cannot be isolated from our fragmented approach, as Arab and Muslim countries, with recurring events vis-a-vis the Palestinian cause," stressing that "Arab meekness increases the Zionist ferocity and massacres against us."
In his speech, al-Assad said that "Palestinians need protection from upcoming genocide before humanitarian aid is needed," adding that Assad asserted that "today there is no supporter, reference or law when talking about the peace process," noting that it has reached a blocked route.
Regarding the Palestinian Resistance, Assad said that "what the valiant Resistance has imposed on our region has had the political tools to change equations."
