The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, called on the Syrian leadership to move toward a "deterrence" strategy, to respond to the Israeli occupation with full force and to deter it from continuing its attacks.

Al-Houthi said in his Ramadan lecture, "We hope that the brothers in Syria will move toward a strategy of deterrence so that the Zionist enemy knows that for every attack it carries out against Syria, there will be a strike at home."

Al-Houthi pointed out that abandoning resistance and refraining from confrontation is dangerous for the nation and would encourage the enemy to repeat its aggression.

The Sanaa government has always condemned  the Israeli attacks on Syria, and recently said that the Israeli aggression against Damascus is a "flagrant violation of Syria's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity," stressing that this is evidence that the Israeli enemy "is an eternal enemy of the entire Arab and Islamic nation."

The Foreign Ministry in Sanaa also recently expressed its solidarity with "the government and people of the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic," stressing Damascus' right to take whatever measures it deems appropriate to defend itself and protect its lands.

Al-Houthi mentioned in his lecture that the offenses against sanctities and the events in al-Quds are targeting the reality of our lives and all our life affairs, even at the educational, cultural, and intellectual levels."

He also pointed out that the occupation has "economic goals, killing and extermination goals, and goals of occupying countries and controlling them, by occupying seas and islands, and important areas, places, and sites."
