Al-Mashat announces launching Yemen Hurricane in face of aggression
The head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen has announced the launch of Operation Yemen Hurricane against all the aggression forces' crimes by all available means.
The head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Mahdi al-Mashat, announced the launch of Operation Yemen Hurricane to mobilize and be on the alert at all levels in defying the Saudi-led aggression on Yemen.
Al-Mashat held a meeting with the Parliament Speaker, Yahya Al-Ra'i, head of the Supreme Court, Judge Ahmad Al-Mutawakkil, head of Shura Council, Mohammad Al-Aydarus, and Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Habtour, in which he stressed the importance of the Yemeni people's resilience during this phase.
He noted that Operation Yemen Hurricane requires all state institutions to mobilize and be on alert, as the operation will cover all official, popular, and elite levels.
He added that "the US-backed coalition of aggression has sought from the very first moment, and still does, the destruction of the service facilities of the Yemeni people, and the targeting of civilian institutions reflects its failure and bankruptcy, not to mention that it adds more crimes to its long list."
"The coalition and its supporters are far from the idea of agreeing on peace in Yemen, and the proof is their crimes against the Yemeni people, which are on the rise," al-Mashat went on to say.
He insisted that "the Yemeni people will not stand still but will respond to all these crimes by all available means," assuring that "with the Yemenis' serious and responsible action, they will eventually win."
On his part, Parliament Speaker Yahya Al-Ra'i said the military media's footage of the launch of drones from different terrains reveals the falsity of the aggression's claims about launching drones from civilian areas.
This comes two days after the Saudi-led coalition attacked the telecom company building in Sanaa and caused severe damage to the neighboring buildings.
The Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree denied Monday the Saudi-led coalition's claims about using civilian areas for military purposes.
Saree described the coalition's claims as "untrue" and considered them a clear justification for targeting Yemeni civilians and civilian facilities.
He also affirmed that targeting civilian facilities and ministries will not achieve the aggression's goal of breaking the will of the Yemeni people, stressing that the Yemeni Armed Forces will respond to the Saudi-led coalition's bombing of Yemen's Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology in the country's capital, Sanaa.
The Brigadier General's statement comes after the Saudi-led coalition bombed Monday the Yemeni Ministry with two airstrikes, Al Mayadeen's correspondent quoted a Yemeni official source as saying.
