Al Mayadeen Sources: Syrian Army Intercepts US Convoy in Qamishli
Al Mayadeen sources say that a Syrian army checkpoint intercepted a US convoy and forced it to change its course from Al-Qamishli.
Al Mayadeen sources in Syria reported that Syrian army soldiers prevented a US convoy from entering the northeastern city of al-Qamishli and forced it to change its course.
The sources confirmed that the Syrian army soldiers, on the checkpoint located at the southern entrance to the city of al-Qamishli, intercepted a US convoy of several vehicles trying to enter the city.
The convoy changed its course without any confrontation with the Syrian army, the sources said.
As for the latest field developments in northeastern Syria, several villages in the towns of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which are under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), witnessed 4 simultaneous attacks.
The attacks were accompanied by an intense flight of US Coalition aircraft, as light bombs were thrown over the area.
Al Mayadeen sources said that unidentified gunmen simultaneously attacked SDF headquarters in the towns of al-Shuhail, al-Basira, and Thiban with several rocket-propelled grenades.
Violent clashes in the vicinity of the targeted headquarters followed the attack, without any information about the damage inflicted on either side.
