Al-Qassam Brigades unveiled operations that its fighters conducted during the Israeli war on Gaza back in July and September, confirming numerous casualties among Israeli occupation troops.
The Palestinian Resistance faction stated that on September 18, 2025, they targeted Israeli forces south of the Gaza Strip by setting off a pre-planted explosive device that hit several military Humvees, causing casualties, with soldiers reported as killed and wounded.
The fighters also reported that they sniped at several wounded soldiers near the Deir Yassin school in the Al-Junaina neighborhood, east of Rafah.
In a second operation on July 27, 2025, Al-Qassam reported that its fighters lured an enemy foot patrol of 12 soldiers accompanied by 5 collaborators toward a booby-trapped tunnel entrance and detonated it upon their arrival, causing deaths and injuries among Israeli ranks. The brigades also stated that enemy helicopters landed in the Al-Nahda neighborhood, east of Rafah, for evacuation purposes.
On October 9, the al-Qassam Brigades announced they carried out a raid on the al-Ahwad military site south of the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City, where they targeted enemy soldiers and vehicles and attempted to capture a soldier during the operation.
This came prior to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which went into effect on October 10, after the Israeli government ratified the deal. Despite this, the Israeli Occupation Forces have continued to breach the ceasefire, launching attacks that have killed several Palestinians across the Strip.
On October 15, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the Gaza Strip reported that two Palestinians were killed by Israeli shelling in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. The correspondent added that Israeli forces took 15 people into custody northeast of Rafah.
Israeli forces killed at least seven Palestinians and wounded several others on the day after the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which was ratified by the Israeli government and mandates an immediate and complete end to fighting, according to the Israeli broadcaster KAN.
