Al-Qassam said Friday that a minefield consisting of five IEDs blew up an Israeli infantry unit and several infantry fighting vehicles and other military vehicles north of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
A special Israeli unit holed up in a residential building north of the al-Bureij refugee camp was attacked with TBG shells before they were engaged in urban combat with assault rifles. The Resistance fighters inflicted a high number of casualties among them and said they destroyed a D9 bulldozer that was supposedly accompanying the aforementioned soldiers.
The Resistance also said it shot down a Skylark-2 reconnaissance drone over Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza.
The Israeli losses are on a steady uptick, as the IOF lost on Thursday two officers and a Sergeant First Class. The officers include a reserve Captain, a company commander in the 401st Armored Brigade's 52nd Battalion, and Major, the deputy commander of the 460th Armored Brigade's 198th Battalion.
East of Gaza, Al-Qassam resistance fighters are engaged in fierce confrontations in the Al-Sha’af and Jabal Al-Rayes areas, detonating an anti-fortification TBG shell on Israeli forces in the Al-Shaaf area.
In south Gaza, al-Qassam fighters destroyed 2 Merkava tanks using the Al-Yassin 105 RPG in Khan Younis.
The military spokesperson for Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida confirmed in an audio recording published on Thursday that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood “put the occupation entity on the path to extinction.”
Abu Obeida emphasized that the top priority is to halt the aggression against the Palestinians and put an end to the genocide. He highlighted that more than 825 military vehicles have been targeted since the beginning of the aggression against Gaza, stressing "Our fighters are crafting a distinctive epic by employing all available means."
Regarding the resistance's accomplishments, he pointed out that the Al-Qassam Brigades targeted “three enemy helicopters during the past two days,” and pointed out that many photos were published documenting “our fighters targeting enemy soldiers and vehicles," stressing that it's only the beginning.
