Algeria: Massive protests to support Gaza against Israeli massacres
To condemn the Israeli aggression against Gaza, the Algerian streets are filled with demonstrators in support of occupied Palestine and the people of the Gaza Strip in the face of the massacres of the Israeli occupation.
The Algerian streets were full of mass activities in support of Palestine and the people of Gaza in the face of the Israeli occupation massacres that have been continuing for days.
The demonstrators, denouncing the aggression against Gaza, gathered in front of the headquarters of the General Union of Algerian Workers in the Algerian capital.
In turn, the Algerian Foreign Ministry instructed all embassies to cancel celebrations of the November Revolution, and the Algerian Football Federation suspended all football competitions in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Also, Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf received this morning a phone call from his Syrian counterpart, Faisal al-Miqdad, during which the two sides discussed the recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, in the midst of the Zionist aggression against Palestinian civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

In this context, the two ministers renewed their strong-worded condemnation of this brutal aggression, demanding its end and holding the occupation accountable for the crimes and massacres it committed against the Palestinian people.
They also stressed that the essence of the recent escalation of the situation and the core of the entire conflict lies in the denial of the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, most importantly their right to establish their independent state with its capital Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
Yesterday, 16 parties and organizations sent a call to the Algerian people of all categories to go out in popular marches in all the states of Algeria to support Palestine, after the horrific massacre committed by the occupation army against civilians in the Baptist Community Hospital in Gaza, and the ongoing massacres against the Palestinians for days.
It is worth noting that for his part, Foreign Minister Attaf said days ago, "Our brothers in the Gaza Strip are living in deplorable humanitarian conditions," reiterating "Algeria’s full solidarity with Palestinian brothers."
Attaf's statements came during the meeting of African and North European foreign ministers, today in Algeria, during which he stressed his country's "call on the international community for an urgent response to the aid of the persecuted people in Gaza, to put an end to this crime and to enable the establishment of the Palestinian state."
