For his part, Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf said, "Our brothers in the Gaza Strip are living in deplorable humanitarian conditions," reiterating "Algeria’s full solidarity with Palestinian brothers."
Attaf's statements came during the meeting of African and North European foreign ministers, today in Algeria, during which he stressed his country's "call on the international community for an urgent response to the aid of the persecuted people in Gaza, to put an end to this crime and to enable the establishment of the Palestinian state."
"My country, Algeria, calls on revealing the irrefutable truth, which is that there is a state called Palestine, that there is occupation, and that there are people who have legitimate rights that cannot be lost in vain," he said.
Attaf pointed out that "in Palestine, there are people demanding their rights in accordance with what has been approved by international legitimacy."
