Algerian Foreign Ministry denies deportation of UAE Ambassador
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune dismisses the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune dismissed the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, and assigned the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communication to handle the Ministry's affairs on his behalf.
Although the Algerian presidency did not give any details about the reason for the decision, activists on social media linked it to circulating news about the expulsion of the UAE ambassador to Algeria, which was denied by the authorities.
In a statement, the presidency announced on Tuesday night that Tebboune ended the duties of Bouslimani.
On its part, the Algerian Foreign Ministry "categorically denied" fake and baseless news that has been published and circulated on social media and some media outlets about ordering the Emirati Ambassador to leave Algeria soil.

The statement indicated that the official spokesperson for the Algerian Foreign Ministry "expressed the strength and solidity of the distinguished Algerian-Emirati bilateral relations that exist between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, with a joint keenness to elevate them to the highest levels, in implementation of the common will of the leaders of the two countries."
Some social media pages and websites circulated the news of the expulsion of the UAE Ambassador after the alleged arrest of four Emirati spies working for "Israel's" Mossad.
