Al-Qawasmi's Mother: The Occupation Kidnapped Miqdad From the Hospital
Palestinian prisoner Miqdad al-Qawasmi's mother says the Israeli intelligence submitted false reports about his health condition and confirms that the occupation kidnapped him from the hospital.
Iman Badr, mother of the prisoner Miqdad Al-Qawasmi revealed that the health condition of Miqdad is "very bad."
In an interview with Al Mayadeen on Friday, Badr said that Israeli intelligence raised false reports that Al-Qawasmi's health condition is good, and mentioned that the family is no longer able to follow up on him after he was transferred to prison.
She stressed that the current situation requires "immediate intervention by those concerned with human rights."
Al-Qawasmi's mother pointed out that "when the occupation failed to break the will of Miqdad, they kidnapped him from the hospital," and mentioned that the family will not be able to meet him after the occupation reactivates the administrative detention.
On Thursday, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the occupation authorities transferred Al-Qawasmi from Kaplan Hospital to the Ramla prison clinic.
The occupation has refrozen the administrative detention order against Al-Qawasmi but hinted earlier at reactivating the order under the pretext that medical reports indicate an improvement in the prisoner's health, according to the prisoner's lawyer.
Al-Qawasmi's health has been rapidly deteriorating. His brother said that his health is in critical condition and he is “on the verge of martyrdom”.
In the same context, the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs called for a one-day hunger strike on Thursday and solidarity rallies after the Friday prayer in all villages, cities, and camps.
Several officials from the Palestinian resistance have told Al Mayadeen that the battle with the occupation is still open in this regard, amid calls for internationalizing the prisoners' cause.
Six Palestinian prisoners continue their open hunger strike in protest of the Israeli administrative detention policy amid deteriorating health conditions threatening their lives.
