Amir-Abdollahian arrives in Beirut, vows continued support
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrives in Beirut at the official invitation extended by his Lebanese counterpart.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived at Beirut Airport late on Thursday night.
He is on an official visit for consultations with his Lebanese counterpart and some other high-ranking Lebanese officials.
Amir-Abdollahian will meet with Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, among others, to discuss the situation.
After arriving in Lebanon, he told a press conference that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to support the Lebanese people, government, and resistance forces.
Amir-Abdollahian stated that his visit to Lebanon is at the invitation of his Lebanese counterpart and is aimed at bilateral consultations on bilateral ties, as well as regional and international developments, including the most recent developments in occupied Palestine.
He emphasized that Iran's strong support for Lebanon remains unchanged.
