Iran's next Foreign Minister Nominee Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated, on Sunday, that strengthening relations with neighboring countries as well as Islamic and Asian countries “will be prioritized in the near future,” during a speech he delivered while discussing cabinet formation in the Iranian parliament.

Amir-Abdollahian stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will participate in "economic diplomacy, as we have not focused on the economic component for the previous four decades, and this is what we will handle in the future era."

He added that although the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will not be the nuclear agreement Ministry, they will participate in negotiations that are in the best interest of the Iranian people.
