Another terrorist attack hits Iran, targets Amol city in Mazandaran
The political and security assistant to the governor of Mazandaran reports the martyrdom of two members of the Basij.
The political and security assistant to the governor of Mazandaran said on Thursday that two members of the Iranian popular mobilization forces (Basij) were killed in a terrorist attack in the city of Amol, north of the country.
In a separate context, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said on Wednesday that "America, Israel, the hypocrites, ISIS, and Western countries played a role in the terrorist act," which targeted citizens inside the Shah-e-Cheragh shrine in Shiraz.
Vahidi stressed that the terrorist operation in Shiraz is the last stage of the enemies' plans to destabilize security, pointing out that "the conspiracies and the joint war against Iran will inevitably hit a dead end and the security forces will confront them forcefully."
The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Thursday that his country "will not allow Iran's national security and interests to become a puppet of terrorists."
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on Wednesday, which killed 15 people and wounded 40.
