Any escalation would not be limited to Yemen borders: Supreme Council
The Council underlines the importance of maintaining the cohesion and solidity of the Yemeni home front in the face of American and British conspiracies.
The Supreme Political Council in Yemen warned on Tuesday against any hostile American escalation aimed at Yemen's security and stability.
During a meeting, the Council vowed to fail the suspicious schemes aimed at deterring Yemen and undermining its active and influential role, stemming from religious and humanitarian duties in defense of Palestine.
It underscored that the repercussions of any escalation would not be limited to Yemen's borders, nor would they undermine the country's honorable stance, the resilience of the Yemeni people, and the bravery of the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The Council reiterated Yemen's steadfast position in supporting and backing Palestine in the face of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza supported by the United States and the West in a "blatant and ugly manner."
Meanwhile, the Council underlined the importance of maintaining the cohesion and solidity of the Yemeni home front in the face of American and British conspiracies, affirming the necessity for relevant official authorities to take decisive actions against anyone involved in destabilizing the internal front.
In a related context, the Supreme Political Council in Yemen affirmed the safe navigation of ships of all countries through the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, except for Israeli and Israeli-bound ships, as well as American and British ships following the two countries' aggression on Yemen.
It also reaffirmed Yemen's consistent stance regarding the security and stability of the region, affirming that all measures carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces do not contradict international humanitarian law.
Addressing Saudi Arabia regarding its negotiations with Yemen, Mahdi al-Mashat, the President of the Supreme Political Council, called on the Gulf country to prioritize its national interest over that of the United States.
He emphasized that Saudi Arabia should be concerned with positively advancing these negotiations and not delay them.
