Lebanese President Joseph Aoun strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in southern Lebanon, calling for a firm stance against any future incursions by occupation forces into Lebanese territory.

During a meeting with Army Commander Rodolphe Heikal, President Aoun stated that Lebanon must "confront any Israeli incursion into the liberated southern territories in defense of our lands and the safety of citizens." The remarks came in the wake of the Israeli attack on the municipality of Blida, where occupation forces killed a municipal employee during a raid on the building.

At dawn, Israeli occupation forces infiltrated the southern Lebanese town of #Blida with military jeeps and drones, raiding the temporary municipal building.

The municipality later confirmed that Ibrahim Salameh, who had been staying inside the building overnight, was martyred after being shot by occupation forces. His fate had remained unknown for hours following the start of the incursion, which involved several Israeli military jeeps.

Aoun denounced the killing, saying it is part of "Israel's" aggressive practices against civilians and comes just hours after a meeting of the committee monitoring the cessation of hostilities agreement.

President Aoun calls for international pressure on 'Israel'

President Aoun urged the international committee tasked with overseeing the ceasefire to go beyond merely recording violations and to exert real pressure on "Israel" to halt its repeated breaches of Lebanese sovereignty.

He emphasized that silence or inaction in the face of such attacks undermines Lebanon's security and encourages further escalation by the occupation. In parallel with the Blida incursion, Israeli warplanes and drones launched a new wave of air raids targeting areas across southern Lebanon.

Our correspondent confirmed that more than 10 missiles struck the mountainous region between al-Jarmaq and Aishiya, while additional raids were reported in al-Mahmoudiya.

These aggressive operations follow a pattern of increased overflights, drone surveillance, and artillery fire across the border, raising concerns of broader military escalation.
